| This course introduces the student to the principal characteristics of the populations of Québec and Canada through the use of demographic concepts. The course looks at issues such as population trends, the reasons underlying uneven population distribution and the diversification of the population. Where appropriate, statistics from the 1996 and 2001 censuses have been used to demonstrate demographic concepts. |
